Ms. McKinnett's song was itself inspired by the poem 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyes. And I would have put Jack in the 'coat of claret velvet and breeches of brown doe-skin' but I couldn't figure out how to swing it in the context of the story. Oh well. Sorry, folks.
